He’s back! Cristiano Ronaldo is on the cover of EA Sports’ FIFA 19, but there’s something different this year: He has swapped the all white of Real Madrid for the black and white of Juventus.
Ronaldo made his debut for the Old Lady in a friendly on Sunday. Forty-eight hours later, it was announced that the well-manicured Portugal international would feature in the famous Bianconeri on the cover of the latest installment of the FIFA franchise.
New for the 2019 edition of the game is the addition of the UEFA Champions League. And wouldn’t you know it, Ronaldo’s Juve shirt is compete with that star-ball sleeve patch made famous by European nights dating back to 1992.
But Ronaldo isn’t alone in being the face of the FIFA franchise. He’ll share that honour with Neymar in the Champions and Ultimate editions.
No matter which version you buy when FIFA 19 comes out on Sept. 28, you’ll get FIFA Ultimate Team goodies, including kits designed by artists featured on the game’s soundtrack. Stump up for the Champions or Ultimate editions and you’ll get a whole lot more Ultimate Team content. Plus, preorders will arrive three days before the game goes on sale.
