Stephen Curry of Golden State Warriors to miss Christmas Day game against Cleveland Cavaliers

Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry won’t play in the team’s Christmas Day game against the Cleveland Cavaliers as he continues to recover from a sprained ankle.

On Tuesday, the Warriors announced that Curry’s injury was re-evaluated, and while he’s progressing, the team won’t re-evaluate him again until next week. That timetable rules Curry out for Monday’s NBA Finals rematch against the Cavs.

Curry rolled his right ankle late in a victory over the New Orleans Pelicans on Dec. 4.

Golden State (24-6) has won five straight games without Curry and nine in a row overall.
